The Bryn Athyn Experience

• 2008 Commencement Speaker: Anders Gyllenhaal, Executive Editor of the Miami Herald. At Bryn Athyn College's 2008 graduation ceremony, which took place on May 23rd, the heartfelt commencement address was given by Anders Gyllenhaal, executive editor of the Miami Herald.
• Student Cottages Nearing Completion. The new student cottages located across campus drive from the men's and women's residence halls are nearing completion and will be ready for student use by August of this year.
  
  Students that have been given preview tours have raved about the construction and design, which offers a balance of privacy and community. There are four units, each of which is designed to accommodate 8 to 12 students. A fifth unit will house the faculty supervisor of these new cottages, Dr. Kristin King and her family.
• Ground Broken for the Grant R. Doering Center for Science and Research. On May 3rd four Bryn Athyn College students (freshman Geneva Echols, sophomore Dale Zecher, junior Shilah Rose, and senior Annika Fitzpatrick) ceremonially broke ground for the Grant R. Doering Center for Science and Research, which will be located next to the Swedenborg Library on the south end of campus.
